This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $1000 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). We understand that security deposits can feel like an added hassle, so we offer the smaller non-refundable insurance waiver as an alternative for shorter stays. This option provides peace of mind for both you and us, covering common accidental damages—such as a spilled drink or a broken dish—without requiring a large upfront payment. Our goal is to ensure a smooth, stress-free experience for all guests while maintaining the beauty and comfort of our home. As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $50 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $3 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. To make this process easy for you, we use a secure and very simple, app-free platform called Happy Guest. It is not an app, and you do not have to sign up for an account - it’s a safe and secure website. It also gives you a guest portal with all the info about the home and all of my favorite local spots. 🐾Pets are welcome with prior approval before check-in. Ceiling fans in bedrooms, movable fans throughout the home, and cool mountain nights mean you’ll stay comfortable. We recommend opening windows at night and closing them in the morning. ❄️ Winter Weather Notice McCall transforms into a stunning winter wonderland — but with that beauty comes true mountain conditions. From November through March, snow and ice are common, and weather can change quickly. Please come prepared: -4WD or AWD vehicles are highly recommended during the winter months. -Snow tires or chains may be required during active snowfall or icy conditions. -Our driveway is plowed regularly, but accumulation can still happen between plowings. -Always check the forecast before driving, and allow extra time for safe travel. -Guests are responsible for their own vehicles. -We are not responsible for stuck vehicles, towing costs, or delays caused by weather conditions.
